Abstract: High-Performance Computing (HPC) is indispensable in modern scientific research, enabling the efficient processing of large-scale data and complex simulations. This workshop will introduce participants to the fundamentals of HPC, including resource allocation, batch processing, parallelization strategies, and software utilization, by the example of the HPC provided by FUB-IT at Freie Universität Berlin. Topics such as Python and R programming, as well as software-specific utilization, will also be covered. The workshop welcomes individuals with an account at Freie Universität and access to their HPC resources.
Loris Bennett leads the HPC service provided by FUB-IT at Freie Universität Berlin.
